I’m Phil Chan. I’m the Executive Pastor at Frontier Church, and Esther and I are raising our five kids in Los Angeles. Most days I’m somewhere between a staff meeting, a whiteboard, and a kitchen full of kids asking what’s for dinner.
Here’s the tension I keep living in. We’re told the future is something we have to grab, optimize, and secure on our own. I don’t believe that. I believe God holds the future, and that frees us to show up for it ready and generous instead of anxious.
That’s the thread through everything I do. At Frontier, I help people become who God made them to be. Made for Greatness Labs builds personal tools that help people grow toward their God-given potential. Drove Group helps organizations use AI well, with humans at the center. Different rooms, same work: building humans.
I wrote Rhythms of Resilience, a book on spiritual practices to thrive in chaos. These days I write Ready by Dawn, short and practical notes on faith for people who are building something.
I grew up in Chicago and earned my MDiv from Fuller Theological Seminary.
